Mr Barry Smorgon
Chairman of the Board
Barry was a Director and Executive of Smorgon Consolidate Industries, one of the largest private companies in Australia for over 20 years.
In 1996 Barry became Executive Chairman of Jalco Group of Companies - which is now one of Australia's largest contract manufacturing operations making a large range of products from personal care, industrial, cosmetic, plastic packing with customers such as Unilever, Alberto Culver, Avon and Colgate.
Barry is also a Director of several private entities including being Chairman of Toll-Jalco Logistics, Chairman of Board of Governors of Maccabi Australia (one of the largest sporting organizations in Australia) and AIJAC NSW an Advocacy Group and spends a lot of his time on not for profit organisations.
Mr John Tisdale
Director
Managing Director and equity partner of Jalco Group Ltd since 1987 (www.jalco.com.au). The Jalco Group is one of Australia's largest and most diverse contract filling and manufacturing businesses. On joining Jalco in 1987, Mr. Tisdale implemented strategies that expanded the customer base and ensured that productivity and annual sales experienced remarkable growth. Jalco group has grown to a business hosting 6 sites with more than 400 employees.
Mr Michael Paul
Chief Executive Officer
Michael Paul is the founder of PACK & SEND and has been the CEO of the company since its incorporation in February 1993. Under Michael's guidance and leadership, the company has developed a national network of over 100 Service Centres throughout Australia which was recognised in 2007 as the 'Australian Franchisor of the Year' by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Franchise Council of Australia. In 2008 PACK & SEND earned second place in the prestigious International Franchisor of the Year Award - a major achievement given the company was up against some of the major global economies and franchising cultures in the world. The company expanded its franchise retail Service Centre network to the United Kingdom and New Zealand in 2008 through the appointment of master licence agreements.
In 2009, Mr Paul was elected to the National Board of Directors of the Franchise Council of Australia - the peak body that represents the $128 billion franchise sector in Australia. In 2012 Michael was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of the Franchise Council of Australia.
Mr Rod Urbina
Chief Financial Officer
Rod Urbina comes to PACK & SEND with over 21 years as a Chartered Accountant within the retail/wholesale and distribution sectors, bringing with him experience in both large multi-national foreign owned corporations as well as medium private businesses. Rod most recently worked for the Davcor Group, a privately owned security and hardware wholesaler, as the Chief Financial Officer, and was previously Group Financial Controller for companies including Optifashion Australia P/L (Just Spectacles Group), and Steinhoff Australia (previously Freedom Group Limited).
Mr Nicholas Woodward
Operations & Innovation Manager
Nicholas began employment with PACK & SEND in September 2005. He has had various roles at PACK & SEND in the areas of business systems, marketing, innovation and operations. He also has over 5 years of retail experience working for Coles Supermarkets. Nicholas has a Degree in Business (Information Systems) from University of Western Sydney and a Diploma in Business (Franchising).
Mr Damien Lisney
Human Resources Manager
Over 10 years experience in learning and development, working for a software company, registered training organisation and more recently as National Training Manager for The Travel Corporation. Joined PACK & SEND in May 2008.
Mr Eric Celik
National Field Support Manager
Eric began employment with PACK & SEND's Corporate Store Division in November 2008, overseeing the growth of company-owned flagship stores. In May 2012, Eric was promoted to National Field Support Manager, assuming responsibility for the guidance and development of the company's franchised retail service centres. Eric has a Bachelor of Business degree majoring in Operations Management and sub-majoring in Information Systems from the University of Western Sydney.
Mr Richard King
Area Manager - Corporate Retail Service Centres
Richard comes to PACK & SEND with extensive experience in store management, mentoring and developing store managers in retail networks including Homeart, Paradise Retail Holdings(Pets Paradise), and EzyDVD. Richard holds a BA and an MA from the University of Sydney.
Mr Stephen Krauklis
Software Development Manager
Stephen has over 15 years experience in I.T. solutions design and implementation. He holds a Masters degree in Systems Development and is a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer. After spending many years developing software solutions in the financial industry and subsequently running an I.T. Consulting business, Stephen joined PACK & SEND in July 2009.
Mrs Susan Paul
Director/Communications Co-ordinator
Susan worked in the first PACK & SEND service centre that was established in 1993 and has been Director of the company since 1996. Susan has had various roles with PACK & SEND during its developmental period and is currently the Communications Co-ordinator. Susan holds an Associate Degree of Arts (Writing).
Mr Tim Robinson
Intellectual Property Officer
Business Degree from the University of Technology, Sydney. 3 years management experience in Small to Medium Business. Tim joined PACK & SEND in July 2007.
Mrs Michelle Clarke
Finance Officer
17 years experience within the Banking industry, including 10 years with Chase Manhattan as a Senior Supervisor in Foreign Exchange Operations. Joined PACK & SEND in May 2000.
