'No Limits' to getting the job done
It started off as a routine phone conversation; pack and send a delicate ornament from Sydney to Perth.
'Yes, no problem,' came the franchisee's reply. And then it got a little more interesting. This particular ornament was about to make its debut starring in a television production.
'Oh, really,' she smiled. And then it got even more interesting. It needed to be there by 5pm ... today. 'Today!' The franchisee looked at her watch. It was 10am. Seven hours until filming and she didn't even have it yet. Naturally, her first thoughts were ...impossible.
And then she heard the words, '...seriously, it needs to be delivered on time and at all costs!' That's when her Pack & Send 'no limits' training began to kick in.
Kym James had operated the Liverpool Pack & Send service Centres in Sydney's western suburbs for over six years, and in that time she'd gained the reputation for going the extra mile. Today, she was to go a few more than usual.
'Why of course, sir,' came her smooth Pack & Send reply. She hung up the phone and picked it straight back up. Ringing one specialist courier after the other, Kym was to find out what she'd already guessed.
The job was impossible for conventional freight or courier services. One more phone call. Kym booked herself the first available plane ticket to Perth. Then came her use of the Pack & Send service Centre Connect System.
First she called on Pack & Send's Sydney City service Centre to pick up the ornament from the network's city offices and deliver it to the Pack & Send Mascot service Centre which she rushed over to on her way to the airport. From then on it was a home run.
With her precious cargo in hand, Kym flew across Australia arriving in Perth at 4.30pm. Racing through the airport, she hailed a taxi and sped over to the television network's office and knocked on the door. It was 4:58pm.
'I can't believe you'd do all that for us,' said an astonished customer. Kym just smiled. 'That's what we do at Pack & Send.'
